12 officers moved out of salaries office to other departments within the RFMF - Kalouniwai

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces says their investigations into the process of payment of salaries of officers by their Salaries Office is still ongoing.

Chief of Staff Colonel Jone Kalouniwai says the 12 officers have been moved out of the salaries office to other departments within the RFMF as the military police conduct the investigation. 

He says that they are working to improve accounting processes within RFMF and have begun the recruitment.

Colonel Kalouniwai has also confirmed several staff from the Ministry of Economy have joined the RFMF.

However Colonel Kalouniwai did not disclose any information on what has been found at this stage of the investigations.
