113 students from the Centre for Appropriate Technology and Development in Nadave today celebrated their achievements after graduating with certificates and toolboxes as part of the 2024 cohort in Automotive Engineering, General Carpentry, Plumbing and Sheet Metal, and Welding and Fabrication.
While congratulating the graduates, iTaukei Trust Fund Board CEO Aisake Taito commended the hard work and dedication shown by the graduates throughout their training and reminded them that their new skills not only make them employable but also empower them to become job creators in their respective villages and communities.
Taito says the students have taken a major step forward in building a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.
He says the iTaukei Trust Fund Board remains committed to supporting programs that equip iTaukei youth with practical and marketable skills, especially in trades that are in high demand across Fiji.
An APTC representative urged the graduates never to look down on their qualifications, emphasizing that their achievement will open a pathway to a world of employment and opportunity.
A total of 108 male students graduated alongside 5 female students.
Simione Rokosivi was awarded Best in Carpentry and Joinery, Vilitati received the Best in Plumbing and Sheet Metal, Aisea Raidrali took home the Best in Welding and Fabrication, and Savirio Bose was named Best in Automotive Engineering.
The All-Around Award went to Ratu Meleti Ratini from Motokana, Nasikawa in Navosa.
