Eleven new players will make their international 7s debut for the Fiji Men's 7s side at the Dubai 7s this weekend.

They are Joseva Talacolo, Jeremaia Matana, Tevita Daugunu, Elia Canakaivata, Daniele Yaya, Iowane Raturaciri, Kaminieli Rasaku, Iowane Teba, Filipe Sauturaga, Manueli Maisamoa and Panapasa Qeruqeru.

Only two players from the Olympic winning team have been retained.

They are Josua Vakurunabili and Waisea Nacuqu.

The Fiji Rugby Union is still hoping to get clearance for Terio Tamani as he holds a critical position in the team.

Tamani and Kavekini Tabu’s visa applications were delayed and they did not travel with the team on Saturday.

Daugunu and Raturaciri have travelled with the team as replacements.

The first Dubai 7s competition will be held from this Friday to Sunday.

Fiji will face France at 7.22pm Friday and will take on Canada at 10.52pm in the second game. Fiji will take on Australia at 3.33am Saturday in their last pool game.

The cup quarterfinals will begin at 6.28pm Saturday, the cup semifinal will start at 10.18pm Saturday and the final will be played at 3.26am Sunday.
