A two storey building which will have department stores and restaurants will be constructed at the old bus stand site in Nausori.
Nausori chief, the Komai Nausori Ratu Lepani Tagicakibau has confirmed they have struck a deal with a local investor and construction of the building is expected to start by March this year.
He says the project is worth over $10 million.
Tagicakibau says the land is owned by the people of Nailagobokola in Nausori and he will make sure that the villagers also get returns from this investment.
He adds they are also preparing a Memorandum of Understanding whereby the villagers of Nailagobokola are also expected to get employment during and after the construction of the building.
