102 students inducted at Jai Narayan College Prefects induction

Minister for Youth and Sports Parveen Bala has told parents to beware of their own values and teachings as children learn from their parents.

Bala was speaking at the Jai Narayan College Prefects Induction Ceremony where 102 students were inducted as Form Captains, Senior Prefects and Head Prefects today.

Bala says education cannot be separated from leadership and he says as we learn, so we learn to lead.

He says Jai Narayan College has made great achievements and the achievements have not come about overnight but through sound leadership of the Principal and staff.

Principal Rikesh Reddy has announced that last year the College attained a 99 percent pass rate for the Fiji Year 10 Certificate Examination, 95 percent pass rate in Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination and 99 percent pass rate for the Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination.

William Fonorito has been inducted as the Head Boy of Jai Nayaran College while Esther Rosibula has been inducted as the Head Girl.
