10 youths will be having the experience of a lifetime after being selected for the 25th Ship of the World Youth Program.
These youths will be boarding the ship of the World Youth in two days time and spend the following 31days with participants from 12 other countries.
This will allow them to acquire leadership and international cooperation skills from countries like New Zealand, Japan, Costa Rica and Sri Lanka.
During an official Ceremony today Minister for Youth and Sports, Viliame Naupoto while speaking to the youths shared that this is a ship that builds characters that will later benefit a whole nation.
Naupoto outlined that 101 people had applied for this tour and only 10 have been selected therefore all participants should make the most of this opportunity.
Meanwhile the SWY Program is sponsored and administered by the Government of Japan whereby participants undergo cultural and sporting activities while traveling.
