Good news for the people of Ra as Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum re-opened 10 schools that were destroyed during the Tropical Cyclone Winston.
The schools that have been reopened are Madhuvani Sangam Primary School, Bureiwai District School, Bucalevu Primary School, Namuaniwaqa Village School, Liwativale Primary School, Nasau District School, Tokaimalo District School, Bayley Memorial Primary School, Navunibitu Catholic Primary School and Naroko Primary School.
While speaking at the re-opening of the schools, Sayed-Khaiyum said that the Government is keen on ensuring the gap between rural schools and urban schools is narrowed down.
The Education Minister has also revealed that they are currently working on a project to have Wi-Fi in schools all over Fiji.
Sayed-Khaiyum has thanked the Australian Government for working with the Fijian Government in rebuilding schools.

He says they are building better to a quality that would withstand many of the storms.
Sayed-Khaiyum has also revealed that they are currently working to improve some of the subjects taught in schools.
