1-year-old girl, a man and a woman pass away in 2 separate accidents in Ba this morning

A 1-year-old girl, a man and a woman have lost their lives in two separate accidents in Ba early this morning.

The girl died at the scene of the accident along Moto Road at around 1.30am today.

She was travelling in a car with six others who were returning from a family function in Nalotawa Village.

The diver who is in his 20s allegedly fell asleep causing the vehicle to veer off the road.

The passengers which include four children and the driver are admitted at the Ba Mission Hospital as investigations continue.

In a separate incident, a 22-year-old man and a woman in her 40s passed away in an accident along Kings Road, near Wailailai in Ba shortly after 1am today.

Police say they sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Ba Mission Hospital where they were unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.

They say a 33-year-old man was driving a vehicle with four passengers when he allegedly lost control, causing it to veer off the road.

The other two passengers have been transferred to the Lautoka Hospital while the driver remains admitted at the Ba Mission Hospital.
