One gun and 600 ammunition were seized through a joint operation by Police, Fiji Revenue and Customs Service and Fiji Navy on a vessel in Viti Levu waters yesterday.
Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu highlighted this during a press conference at the Fiji Police Force Headquarters this morning.
Tudravu confirms that only one gun was discovered and not 350 guns as earlier reported.
When asked about reports surfacing about more vessels carrying weapons, he says they have not received any other reports.

When asked if the owner of the vessel was identified, the Commissioner says they cannot reveal any information as investigations continue.
He hopes that the process will be done quickly.
He further says FRCS has handed their report.
Tudravu adds they will release more details once they are able to establish more detailed information in due course.
