Local rugby 7s fans in the Western Division should gear up for an electrifying weekend as the 2025 Fiji Bitter Series Nahehevia Valley 7s kicks off in style today.
Top grassroots teams from the Western Division are set to compete against powerhouse teams in the eight-pool competition, as revealed in the official draw.
A total of 32 teams have secured their spots in the main cup competition with the defending champion, Fire missing out the tournament this year.
The opening pool matches of the main cup competition tomorrow will feature exciting clashes, including Viti Roofing Devo Babas taking on Yaro Chiefs at 9:24am, followed by Wardens Gold facing Gold Coast Senibiau at 9:36am, Fresh’et Navy will meet Western Exile at 9:48am, while Tuva takes on Boutolu Babas at 10am, Ratu Filise will face SR Ubuntu at 10:12am, Post Shop Tabadamu will play Flametree Coloisuva at 10:24am, TMC Warrior will take on Flametree Waimanu at 10:36am, and Nahehevia Patriots will go up against Bula Brothers at 10:41am.
In the women's competition, Blue Gas Lilian Amazon will face NNN Terigal, while Kadavu Stallions take on Aflame Sisters at 9am, Wardens Gold will meet Tuva and Fresh’et Navy will play Tagimoucia Ranadi at 9:12am.
The U18-U21 grade will kick off at 8am with PSM Aflame Black taking on Gold Coast Senibiau and Southland Broncos facing Momi Tigres, Caginitoba to face Loloma Care Malomalo and Nahehevia Brothers versus Determination at 8:12am, Village Boys to play PSM Aflame and Coral Coasters taking on Tubarua Highlanders at 8:24am, Grassroots Fiji meets Southland Brumbies and Tuva facing Noinabua at 8.36am, while Yaro taking Nawaka at 8.48am.
The Nahehevia Valley 7s will be held today and tomorrow at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
