We do not want issues to be swept under the carpet – Akbar

The Minister for Education Rosy Akbar says they do not want issues to be swept under the carpet.

Akbar says it is the heads of schools responsibility to keep proper records and inform them if there are cases of sexual harassment , drug abuse, indiscipline cases that is a grade one offence and things that must be reported to the Police.

While opening the teachers quarters at Vunimoli Islamia College in Labasa Akbar further says nowadays they see that there are a lot of issues in schools.

The Education Minister says the Northern Division is one division where the issues are kept at a minimum.

She told the students that they want to work with their parents.
