Fiji Water Flying Fijians skipper Tevita Ikanivere says they are ready for Tonga as they have been training for the past two weeks for this encounter.
Ikanivere says they are hoping to match Tonga’s physicality this afternoon and hopefully come out on top.
He says they have had one very big week of preparations trying to get their fitness up and trying to iron out the mistakes they made against Samoa.
All Pacific teams are physical and that is the only way to go forward gaining momentum and Tonga is no exception.
The game today will also mark 100 years of Fiji and Tonga playing Tests against each other.
Tonga beat Fiji 9-6 in their first Test in 1924, however, they lost the second Test to Fiji 14-3.
Fiji plays Tonga at 3pm today at Teufaiva Stadium.
