Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu has challenged female officers to rise to another level.
Tudravu made the challenge during the 50th Anniversary Celebration Dinner for women officers at the Fiji Police Academy.
He says the organisation is now heading towards a direction where it cannot rely on its men officers all the time.
Tudravu says he wants all women officers to create their own legacy within the organisation.
He urged the senior women officers to be good role models to the younger ones who will be looking up to them for guidance.
Tudravu acknowledged the contributions of women officers and has asked who will become the first female Police Commissioner.
Inspector Sue Douglas and Inspector Paris Razos from the New Zealand Police were also part of the celebration.
