Top 7s teams around the country have confirmed their participation at the 15th Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s competition this weekend as the tournament is in its final phase of preparations before kick-off this Thursday.

Tournament Organiser Malakai Yamaivava says teams like defending champions Police Blue along with Police White, DXC Barbarians, Paradise Raiwasa Brothers, Army and Lavidi Brothers to name a few will be gracing the tournament with their presence this week in the Men’s division.

Yamaivava says having these top teams participating in this tournament will definitely help the development of grassroots rugby in Fiji, especially playing against some grassroots teams in the country.

Yamaivava says there is also a team that is travelling all the way from Namalata in Kadavu that will also be participating in the tournament.

He says this will be the farthest travelling team in the competition.

Yamaivava says they are looking forward to the start of the three-day tournament this week.

The entry fees for the first two days of the tournament are $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12 while the final day will see adults pay $7 and $2 for children under 12.

The Savusavu 7s will be held from this Thursday to Saturday at Ratu Ganilau Park.
