Sowakula to feature for the Chiefs in the final

Fiji-born Pita Gus Sowakula will start for the Chiefs against the Crusaders in the Super Rugby Aotearoa final tomorrow.

Sowakula will start at flanker with Lachlan Boshier while Luke Jacobson returns at number eight.

The 26-year-old was included in the Super Rugby Aotearoa Team of the Week by popular New Zealand news media website - Stuff.co.nz.

Chiefs co-Captain Brad Weber will combine with first five-eighth Bryn Gatland while All Blacks playmaker Damian McKenzie will start at fullback.

Other players starting for the Chiefs are Aidan Ross, Mitchell Brown, Etene Nanai-Seturo, Anton Lienert-Brown and Jonah Lowe.

Meanwhile, Sevu Reece and George Bower will start for the defending champions.

The Chiefs will face the Crusaders in the Super Rugby Aotearoa final at 7.05pm tomorrow.
