Former England 7s captain Simon Amor has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Japanese 7s side for the 2022/2023 HSBC 7s Series.
Amor played for the England 7s team from 2001 to 2006.
He was Head Coach of the England women's 7s team at the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens.
Amor was appointed the Head Coach of the Great Britain 7s team, which won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
In 2020, he took on the role of attack coach of the England Rugby team under Eddie Jones, where the team won the 2020 6 Nations Championship and the Autumn Nations Cup.
He left the role in May 2021.
The 2022/2023 HSBC 7s Series will kick-off with Hong Kong 7s on the 4th of next month.
