The Seahawks Women's 7s side will be playing for their late former coach Elenoa Kunatuba at the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s as she has not only done so much for the team but Women's rugby as a whole.
Seahawks captain and former Fijiana 7s captain Ana Maria Roqica says they want to continue on the legacy left by their former coach and make her proud.
Roqica says most of the women look up to her as a great role model and the Seahawks side are dedicating their performance at the Marist 7s to her.
Roqica played a crucial role for the Seahawks side helping thrash CK’s Marist Women 1 39-0 in their first match of the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s that kicked off this morning.
Roqica says they still have a lot to improve on and they will go back and assess those areas and work on it for the next game.
When asked if she is looking to make her way back into the Fijiana 7s side, Roqica says she is ready to represent her country again and if the coaches select her, she will be honoured to play for Fiji again.
In other Women's matches this morning, Mt Masada beat Army 12-0, CK’s Marist 2 edged St John Lomary 7-5 and Savusavu Women beat Vomo Island Resort 28-5.
