Ratu Finau Secondary School claimed their second victory yesterday after defeating Suva Grammar School by 20 runs while maintaining their lead alongside is Moce Secondary School during the Fiji Secondary Schools National Men's U19 Cricket tournament at Albert Park.
Moce Secondary School also secured a win, beating the Cricket Fiji U19 Invitational team by 44 runs.
Assistant Manager of Ratu Finau Secondary, Inoke Vuibureta, told fijivillage Sports that despite coming to the tournament with limited resources, the team has been driven to succeed in their pool matches.
He added that they are well-prepared for tomorrow’s game against John Wesley College and are determined to continue their strong performance.
In other results from the second round, Ba Provincial Free Bird Institute defeated John Wesley College by 5 wickets, while Cicia High School overcame Nabua Secondary School by 3 wickets.
Today’s matches at Albert Park 1 will see Suva Grammar facing Ba Pro at 9am, followed by John Wesley against Ratu Finau at 12:30pm.
On ground 2, the Cricket Fiji U19 Invitational side will meet Cicia Secondary at 9am and Nabua Secondary will take on Moce Secondary at 12:30 pm.
