Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Simon Raiwalui has been nominated as one of the World Rugby’s Coach of the Year after a sterling performance at the Rugby World Cup in France this year.
Raiwalui made waves ever since he took over as the head coach for the Flying Fijians guiding the team to their first-ever RWC quarter final appearance in 16 years.
He also helped them to win the Punjas Pacific Battle Series this year beating Tonga, Japan and Samoa before leading the team to their historic 30-22 win over England at Twickenham Stadium in their World Cup warm-up match.
Raiwalui also guided the Flying Fijians team to their first-ever win over the Wallabies at this year’s RWC after 69 years.
Raiwalui has been nominated alongside Ireland’s coach Andy Farrell, South Africa’s coach Jacques Nienaber and All Blacks coach Ian Foster
