Arnold Aditya Rao of Baulevu High School who topped in year 13 received the Dux Awards for his school encourages all students to never be scared, work hard and manage their time wisely.
Rao who scored highest marks in Mathematics, Applied Technology, Computer Science and Technical Drawing says he is grateful for the achievement because this award is something which he had dreamt of from the starting of his secondary school journey.
While sharing his challenges with fijivillage News Rao says secondary school is much tougher than primary school as there is more competition and more teaching staff with different experiences.
He says despite the challenges he didn't have to worry much as he was always supported and guided by his parents and families.
He says he now looks forward to pursuing his studies in engineering at the University of the South Pacific.
Some of his other achievements include being the highest scorer for the Fiji Year 12 examination and a certificate of achievement in extracurricular activities such as IQ active.
