The Ministry of Education is investigating allegations of misconduct during the Fiji Eighth Year external exam at a Ba school last week.
When questioned by fijivillage News, Minister Aseri Radrodro says their District Office will conduct a full investigation to ascertain the allegations made.
Radrodro says the preliminary assessment was conducted after complaints by two parents of alleged malpractice against the Chief Supervisor and the Year 8 class teacher.
It is alleged that the papers were discussed before the exam started, and during the exam, a teacher was inside the hall.
There are allegations that answers were written on a paper and then handed to the supervisor by the teacher which was later given to one student.
After the maths paper, the complaints were raised however it is alleged that nothing was done by the headteacher.
There are claims that the same issue occurred during the second paper.
Questions are being raised on how the teachers got the papers and discussed it before the exam when the exam papers are emailed only to the headteacher.
