Military officer charged with one count of attempted murder of his partner pleads not guilty

A military officer charged with one count of attempted murder of his partner has pleaded not guilty before Suva High Court Judge Justice Chamath Morais.
30-year-old Rajiv Padyachi had allegedly attempted to murder his partner in September last year.
Padyachi who is an engineer for the RFMF is alleged to have attempted to drown his partner while swimming in Colo-i-Suva.
A team of police officers heard the woman’s cry for help and managed to save her and arrested the accused.
The trial continues.
