While training on the field is the main focus, the team’s mental and spiritual preparations have also been emphasised.
This was highlighted by Team Fiji Men’s Rugby 7s coach Osea Kolinisau as preparations continue for them in France ahead of the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics 7s competition next week.
Kolinisau says that the team continues to develop their bond and is working really hard at all the training runs they have had.
He adds he will name the final 13-member squad once they move to the Games village next week.
Fiji will face Uruguay at 3am next Thursday in their first match, they will then take on the USA at 6.30am on the same day, before playing hosts France at 1.30am next Friday in their final pool match.
The Men’s quarter finals will kick off at 7am next Friday.
There will be a one-day break in the Men’s competition before the semi finals and the final will be played next Sunday.
The semi finals will kick off at 1.30am and the final will be at 5.45am.
