Fiji Water Flying Fijians outside back and Olympic gold medallist Sireli Maqala was the toast of his Bayonne side as he scored two tries to help them secure a 12-8 win over Toulouse in round 9 of the French Top 14 competition.

Maqala started at outside centre and was impressive throughout the 80 minutes of the match.

Former England centre Manu Tuilagi started at inside centre for Bayonne.

Another Flying Fijians player Luke Tagi started at loosehead prop for Bayonne as well while former Fiji Airways Fiji 7s player Setareki Bituniyata started on the wing for Toulouse and also scored their only try of the game.

Meanwhile, Maqala and Tagi are expected to join the Flying Fijians this week as they prepare to take on Wales in the second match of the November tests tour.

The Flying Fijians will take on Wales at 1.40am next Monday at the Millennium Stadium.
