Maintaining consistency in our young halves combination is a good thing.
These were the words of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua coach Mick Byrne on his combination of halfback Peni Matawalu and flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula.
Byrne says the combinations work better once they have been playing together longer.
When asked on how the team’s confidence of a victory is, Byrne says they are confident from the point of view of their preparation.
He says they have already beaten the Force in Lautoka and if they play their best rugby they are going to be competitive, giving them a real chance to win their first away game this season.
The Drua will play their 40th match in the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition when they take on the Force this weekend.
The Force host the Drua at 11.55pm Saturday in Perth.
In other matches this week, Moana Pasifika will play the Chiefs at 7.05pm tomorrow, the Reds will take on the Rebels at 9.35pm Ftomorrow, the Blues will play the Hurricanes at 4.35pm Saturday, the Highlanders will take on the Crusaders at 7.05pm Saturday and the Waratahs will host the Brumbies at 9.35pm Saturday.
