Japanese referee Ibuki Tetsuka is looking to gain as much experience as he can get from the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.
In an interview with fijivillage News, Tetsuka says this is a great opportunity for him to come and experience how rugby is played in Fiji.
He says he is excited about being given this opportunity and he just wants to make use of it.
Tetsuka says he has only officiated as an assistant referee in a few international tournaments this is his first time to referee a match on international soil.
Tetsuka refereed the Aloha Taveuni versus St Johns Lomary in his first match of the Marist 7s tournament.
Meanwhile, in round 2 of the under 21 pool matches, Bure Brothers defeated Ratu Filise 12-5, Vuna brothers defeated Nuku Rugby 7-0, AJ Pallets Ba River beat Tovolea 12-7, Savuqila won by default over Seabreeze and Tubarua defeated Marist 17-5.
