Minister for Health, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete says they are working to eradicate Leptospirosis, Dengue Fever, Diarrhea and Typhoid cases in the country.
Waqainabete says overall they have lower numbers of dengue and typhoid cases but leptospirosis is still a killer and is a concern.

He says leptospirosis cases were usually recorded in rural areas but now it has become a concern for urban and peri-urban areas.
Fiji has recorded 10 deaths from Leptospirosis this year.
Waqainabete says people need to take precautionary measures.
This is in line with Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama's announcement on a nationwide door to door campaign to combat the potential outbreak of Leptospirosis, Typhoid, Dengue and Diarrhoea.
Meanwhile, Mokani villagers are carrying out an extensive clean-up campaign around their community.
Nurse, Silimaca Raradoka says the campaign is designed to strengthen community awareness on how to prevent these diseases.
She says they have six teams who are cleaning the areas and eight awareness teams are creating house to house awareness on how to prevent cases of Leptospirosis, Dengue Fever, Diarrhea and Typhoid.
