The challenges faced after being raised by a single dad have paid off for George Satakala after he signed a deal with the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs.
Waleki Satakala is a proud dad who says that it's a blessing to his family after his 17-year-old son signed up for the Bulldogs.
Satakala says his son blended well with his Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School U17 team, but the struggles he faced could be the reclamation of years of hard work and blessing from God.
He says through perseverance and dedication, he has reached his dreams of signing a contract to become a professional rugby league player overseas.
He says without the challenges faced, they wouldn't have come this far and are thankful to all the people who guided him to achieve his goal.
Satakala also thanked Seremaia Bai, and especially George’s uncle and aunt for building his son to be the man he is today.
