A Flood Warning is now in force for flood prone areas adjacent to and downstream of Ba River while a Flash Flood Warning remains in force for all low-lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams of Vanua Levu and parts of Viti Levu including Naitasiri, Tailevu through Rakiraki, Tavua, Ba and Lautoka.
A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for the Central and Northern Division, Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
The Nadi Weather Office says flash flooding of some low-lying areas, informal settlements, small streams and Irish crossings will lead to disruptions in traffic, surface flooding is expected on roads due to poor drainage and risk of isolated flooding of areas downstream of major rivers and coastal areas especially during high tide.
The Weather Office says a trough of low pressure lies slow-moving to the West of Fiji with an embedded shallow low pressure system located near Kadavu which is associated with clouds, showers and rain.
People should expect more rain as a few embedded low pressure systems are expected to affect Fiji until next week.
