If we can in a day look for someone who can have some of our fruits or if we can help someone in whatever way, that in itself is bigger than any other gold medal in this world.
This has been highlighted by Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head of Athletic Performance coach Naca Cawanibuka during fijivillage Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan.
Cawanibuka says this is something that he and his team are doing in rugby and that is to make our players understand that their position in this platform is bigger than the game itself.
He says we need to see how we can help other people.
Cawanibuka shared a story of how he met a young man who was a shoe shine boy and he made good friends with him.
He says he asked the man about what he is good at, and when the young man shared what he is good at, Cawanibuka told him that he can help a lot of people with that talent that he has.
Cawanibuka further says he shared with the young man that mango season is coming soon.
He asked the young man if he had seen a mango tree eat its own fruit to which he replied he hadn’t.
Cawanibuka adds he told the young man that if we could find someone whom we can allow to share our talent with, then it would be a big achievement.
