The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team is working hard to maintain their position on the HSBC SVNS points table to qualify for the Madrid 7s tournament in May.
The Fijiana side is currently in 7th place with 29 points, while Australia leads with 90 points, followed by New Zealand with 86 points, and France is third with 76 points.
Coach Saiasi Fuli says they will have to maintain their position in the top 8 to qualify for the Madrid 7s and also for the Paris Olympics in July.
He says the management is working on the mistakes from the last two legs and expects improvement in the Hong Kong 7s next week.
Fuli says the girls have shown improvement from the last two weeks of training.
The Fijiana 7s side will begin their Hong Kong 7s campaign against Australia at 4.25pm next Friday, they will then take on South Africa at 7.12pm next Friday, and they will play Ireland at 3.02pm next Saturday.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
