Fiji Water Flying Fijians Captain Tevita Ikanivere says the team has settled in well in Tokyo and is ready to play the USA Eagles in the first semi final of the Asahi Super Dy Pacific Nations Cup tonight. Ikanivere says they have reviewed previous matches of the USA team, and they are a quality side, very physical, and play constructively. He says they have a game plan in place to counter this and are ready for whatever the Americans game plan.
Ikanivere stressed the boys are in high spirits in camp, knowing they have prepared well for this game and are hoping to back it up with a strong performance.
Meanwhile, All Blacks fly-half Richie Mo’unga presented the jerseys to the 23-member squad that will play in the semi finals. The Flying Fijians will take on the USA Eagles at 10.05 tonight.
In the other semi final, Samoa will take on Japan at 6.05pm tomorrow.
Tonga will play Canada in the 5th place playoff at 7pm Saturday.
All games will be played at Prince Chichibu Memorial Rugby Stadium in Japan.
