The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will play the Blues at Eden Park for the first time since joining the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Competition back in 2022.
The last 3 encounters between the two teams have been in Melbourne (2022), Churchill Park in Lautoka (2023) and this year at Whangarei in Auckland.
Captain Ratu Meli Derenalagi says this is a huge motivation for most of the boys who will be playing at Eden Park for the first time.
Derenalagi says most of them have just watched rugby games being played at Eden Park and for them to be playing the Blues in the Super Rugby Pacific quarter final at this venue, is a big encouragement for the team as a whole.
The previous 3 encounters have been dominated by the Blues and the Drua are looking to break that drought and also claim their first away game victory since 2022.
Derenalagi says they will come out firing tomorrow and will be very physical from the start to the end.
In their recent meeting, the Blues defeated the Drua 34-10 and the Drua are fully focused on turning the tables this time.
The Drua will take on the Blues at 7.05pm tomorrow.
In other quarter finals, the Chiefs will host the Reds at 7.05 tonight, the Hurricanes will take on the Rebels at 4.35pm tomorrow and the Brumbies will play the Highlanders at 9.35pm tomorrow.
