Fijian Drua Interim CEO Brian Thorburn says the squad is assembling earlier than other teams because they want to prepare well for the Super Rugby Pacific competition next year.
Thorburn says most of the teams will start their preparation in December but for the Drua side, the team will go into camp next month.
He says they not entering the competition to make up the numbers.
27 players have been named in the Drua side and the rest will be revealed next week.
All players will be contracted for 2 years.
The Super Rugby Pacific kicks off on February 18th next year.
