As the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s side head into a very important match this evening that could see the first Super Rugby home semi final, the team will not be worried about what the Melbourne Rebels fans say to them during the match in Melbourne.
Coach Mosese Rauluni was sharing his opinion after Swire Shipping Fijian Drua halfback Frank Lomani was a victim of racial slurs during the team’s match against the Melbourne Rebels last week.
Rauluni says his players cannot be focused too much on what’s happening off the field as they have a job to do on the field.
He says the fans will do what they want to do, but the team, has got to think about their job on the field, which is to win and to win well.
A win against the Rebels will confirm a home semi final for the Drua next Friday and a first-ever Super Rugby knockout game to be held in Fiji.
The Drua play the Rebels in Melbourne at 7.05pm tonight.
