Discussions are still ongoing regarding the scrapping of the automatic progression system despite failure which has been used in the education system over the last few years.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro says they are still in talks with various officials of the ministry and they will release a statement soon.

He says the number of students not achieving the required marks is high and they are working on solutions to improve the learning journey of these students.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka earlier said that he will be discussing with Radrodro to scrap the No Repeat Policy.

Rabuka says the teachers association and unions have to meet and do something about this as soon as possible.
