Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu has declared that law enforcement will not rest until all marijuana cultivation on Koro Island is eradicated.
While speaking at the second Koro Island High School pass-out parade, Tudravu issued a stern warning to those involved in the illegal trade, stating that the Fiji Police will hunt them down until they give up planting marijuana.
Tudravu is also urging the 222 cadets to reject drug use, emphasizing the importance of discipline and making positive life choices.
While addressing the wider community, Tudravu called on the people of Koro to work together to maintain the island’s pride and play a crucial role in shaping the future by guiding the younger generation toward responsible and law-abiding lives.
The Commissioner highlighted that collective efforts would bring positive change to Koro’s 14 villages, reinforcing their commitment to a safer and drug-free island.
The best platoon award was given to Uluikade House, and Apenisa Ledua of Koroibola House was named Male Platoon Commander.
The best male cadet award went to Simeli Cokanasiga of Kuitarua House, while the best female cadet award was presented to Melissa Koroi of Uluikade House.
The Best Overall award went to Sevai House, and the Baton of Honour award was presented to Jona Vibose, the Parade Commander and head boy of the school.
