Earning a spot in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s squad will depend on the hard work you put in on and off the field, and extended squad member George Bose is pushing harder than expected to try and make his break in the HSBC SVNS Series when the new season kicks off next month.

Bose who is from Navosa, knows the competition is not easy in camp with all the 26 players vying for a spot in the final 13 squad for the first leg in Dubai and Cape Town.

He says this is the second time he has been in the extended squad training camp and is looking to make it count this time.

Bose started his 7s career with the Yamacia 7s team before joining Tabadamu 7s, and now he currently plays for the Lavidi Brothers Rugby 7s team.

He says he has already set his long-term goal and is working hard towards achieving it.

He adds he is trying to overcome all the challenges and one of them is trying to adapt to the tough training environment, especially with the transition from his club to the National 7s side.

Bose says he has been receiving a lot of support from his family at home and it is one thing that pushes him as well knowing that his family is always beside him in prayers.

Meanwhile, the 2024/2025 HSBC SVNS World Series will kick off with the Dubai 7s which will be held from the 30th of November to the 1st of December 2024.
