As we are a day away from the kick-off of the Toulouse 7s, all 16 teams participating will be looking to leave no stones unturned in this second-last tournament of the 2022/2023 World 7s series.
The Toulouse 7s also marks the final event of the women’s Series where the champions will be crowned and the penultimate round for the men with the qualification for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris and Series glory up for grabs, while a must-see battle to avoid relegation comes to a close.
The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team will be eyeing a top three finish in this tournament and also favour from other teams in order to gain an automatic qualification while the Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s team has two more tournaments to decide their fate one of which that kicks off tomorrow.
The Fiji men’s team will play the USA at 12.57am Saturday in their first pool match, they play South Africa at 7.03am Saturday and battle France at 12.11am Sunday in their final pool game. The men’s cup quarter-finals will start at 3.16am Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 11.32pm Sunday and the cup final will be held at 3.56am Monday.
The Fijiana 7s team will play Spain at 8pm tomorrow in their first pool game, they will then take on Japan at 1.30am Saturday before playing Great Britain at 7.37pm Saturday. The women’s cup quarter finals will start at 1.26am Sunday, the cup semi finals will be at 7.44pm Sunday and the cup final will be at 3.26am next Monday.
