Fiji Airways National Men’s 7s coach Ben Gollings says all the pools will be ruthless in this series.
Gollings says it was evident in Dubai last week, and this weekend they have another tough pool coming up against Spain, France and Argentina.
He says they will need to step up the physicality against these teams but it is all going to be good challenges for them.
Gollings says there were a few bumps and niggling injuries to some players but nothing serious and the players are ready to play this weekend.
He also confirms that forward Josese Batirerega was injured before the Dubai 7s kicked off and was pulled out, but he is fit to be back playing this weekend.
Fiji will take on France at 8.28pm Saturday in their first pool match, they will then take on Spain at 11.06pm Saturday before taking on Argentina at 4.50am Sunday in their final pool match. The cup quarter finals will kick off at 8.34pm Sunday, the semi finals will start at 12.56am Monday and the cup final will be at 5.23am Monday. Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side will play Japan at 7.22pm Saturday in their first pool match, they will then play Spain at 9.34pm Saturday before playing Australia at 1.54am Sunday in their last pool match.
