The Attorney General and Minister for Justice Siromi Turaga reminded the prefects of Nadi Airport School that they have been entrusted with the well-being of their fellow students and should lead by example.
While officiating at the school’s prefect induction ceremony, Turaga reminded the prefects to be considerate, caring, compassionate, firm, fair, and friendly at all times.
He says as prefects, they have the power to positively influence the culture of the school, foster a sense of belonging and community, and create an environment where every student feels valued and supported.
He adds their roles extend far beyond just enforcing rules and regulations.
The Attorney General says leadership is all about having a positive influence, and they should remain focused and committed to their studies, but at the same time, be an inspiration to their peers by helping instil a sense of duty, responsibility and achievement.
