It is the start of a new journey for 97 students as they graduated from Pacific Polytech in Labasa yesterday afternoon.
While speaking during the ceremony, Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua highlighted that these students and their families' lives will be transformed.
Tikoduadua says many Polytech graduates are thriving in sectors such as hospitality, tourism, business, trades and ICT by demonstrating quality hands-on technical education and contributing to economic growth.
He says this institution is producing individuals who are equipped to shape the future of the communities while some are already making a difference.
Meanwhile, Pacific Polytech was established in 2021 and it aims to provide opportunities to individuals through TVET programs who did not manage to excel in academics.
