A 40-year-old man was arrested in Caubati following a raid that resulted in the discovery of several dried branches and leaves wrapped in aluminium foil believed to be marijuana.
Police say the raid was conducted by the Southern Division Serious Organized Crime and Intelligence Department.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu says the raid was conducted shortly after lunch yesterday.
ACP Driu says the Police Force is committed to its role in the Counter Narcotics Framework of supply reduction, focusing on disrupting networks involved in distributing illicit substances.
He says the suspect was taken into custody, with all seized substances sent for analysis.
ACP Driu is urging members of the public to report or share information regarding those involved in the illicit drug trade through Crime Stoppers on 919 or 917.
