Police are trying to track some people involved in filming and circulating sex videos of some locals.

One of the videos currently being circulated is from Labasa, and there are claims that the female in the video is a secondary school student.

When questioned by Fijivillage, Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri says their officers are investigating the matter.

There have been some cases where consenting partners have filmed themselves having sex.

In some cases, the men involved in these videos then use the footage to blackmail the girls or women involved.

Sokomuri says they have investigated some of these cases in Labasa and the people involved have been charged.

There is also growing concern that some people are taking semi-nude or nude photos of themselves and are sending them to their partners.

In some cases, these photos are then circulated publicly when they have a breakup.
