Police are now awaiting the medical report of the Year 1 student who was allegedly sexually assaulted in a school in Cakaudrove.

Two Year 8 students allegedly sexually assaulted the 6-year-old boy inside a classroom on Wednesday.

They will be taken in for questioning when the medical results are out.

The victim sustained injuries and remains admitted in hospital as investigations continue.

The mother of the 6-year-old boy maintains that her son was sexually assaulted in his classroom by two Year 8 students.

Police have interviewed the boy who was allegedly sexually assaulted by the two students in the same primary school on Wednesday.

The boy sustained serious injuries.

The family of the boy say that this is an extreme case of bullying and are awaiting a response from the Police and the Ministry of Education.

The mother confirms that Police have spoken to her son and they also spoke to the District Education officials in the Northern Division.

The school says it is aware of the incident.

However they say that the incident did not happen in the school.
