Thousands without water in greater Nasinu and Suva area

Thousands of people in the greater Suva and Nasinu area will be without water till this evening.

The Water Authority of Fiji has confirmed that they have completed repair works to their reservoirs and are now currently refilling in order restore normal water supply.

The Authority has also confirmed that the reservoirs affected are the Nagatugatu reservoir, Tacirua reservoir, Dokanaisuva reservoir and Colo-i-Suva reservoir.

The affected areas are all areas that are feeding from the Tovata reservoir, this include areas between Nakasi to Grantham road, the greater Suva Area, and areas along Princes road.

The Authority says that water carting trucks are currently carting water to all affected areas.

Water Authority says that water supply is expected to normalized by this evening.
