Top Hollywood Actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has commended Prime Minister and COP President Voreqe Bainimarama for his continuing efforts to fight climate change.

In a video message sent to Bainimarama earlier today, Schwarzenegger said that it was unfortunate that he could not attend the Climate Action Pacific Partnership meeting being hosted in Fiji.

Schwarzenegger is currently shooting Terminator 6 in Hungary.

While opening the two day Climate Action Pacific Partnership Conference in Suva, Bainimarama said that no nation, no matter how powerful it is can protect its citizens from the effects of climate change on its own.

Bainimarama says our vulnerability must not be mistaken for weakness, because while we may be extremely vulnerable to rising seas and strengthening storms the vulnerable label does not leave us feeling hopeless.

He says being an underdog does not dishearten us, in fact it has the opposite effect.
