Rabuka confirms that he has resigned as SODELPA party leader but will continue on until 2020 AGM

Sitiveni Rabuka has stepped down as SODELPA party leader

SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed that he has resigned as party leader however he will remain as the leader until the AGM in 2020 when a new party leader is elected.

Rabuka says according to the SODELPA constitution, a new party leader is appointed two years before the next general elections - in this case two years before the 2022 elections.

The SODELPA Leader who is now 71 years old says the party also has to look at all the issues going into the party leader elections next year as there was also some dissent regarding his party leadership. 

SODELPA will have their AGM in Savusavu on June 28th this year.
