The outgoing President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau has called for more support for the young people.
In his Fiji Day message, Ratu Epeli says as a nation, we must unite behind young people to give them all the best possible chance to succeed.
Ratu Epeli says that young people are our future.
The President is calling on older generation to include young people in their everyday discussions.
Ratu Epeli also says he will never forget Independence Day 1970.
The President has also thanked everyone for all their support as he carried out his role as Head of State.
