Police search for 15-year-old and two fisherman missing at sea

Police officers are currently searching for a 15-year-old student who was swept away while swimming with his older brother at Naselai Beach, Kuiva, Tailevu.

The incident occurred after 1pm today and the search continues.

Meanwhile, police in Nabouwalu are also currently searching for 2 men who failed to return from a fishing trip yesterday in Nabouwalu.

Police say the two left at 9am yesterday in a fiberglass boat and when they failed to return a search was conducted with the assistance of the villagers from Vuya.

Mariners and people living near coastal lines are requested to keep a lookout and report any sighting to Police Search & Rescue Centre on 3318529 or 9905296.

People are being asked to be mindful of the current weather situation and take all the necessary precautions.
